Gone Girl Movie Review

Before watching this movie, I already read the book written by Gillian Flynn. I was amazed by how the author wrote an outstanding novel. It gave thrill on my spine and it became one of my favorite novels, so when I heard that they will do a movie version of this novel, I hurriedly went to a movie house to watch it with my boyfriend.
The movie starred by Ben Afleck and Rosamund Pike and directed by David Fincher. The story goes when Nick's (Ben Afleck) wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike) went missing. They thought that she was murdered and later on suspected Nick as a murderer. But as the story goes, Amy has faked her death, framing Nick as revenge for his infidelity. She has changed her appearance and is hiding in a distant campground, believing Nick will be convicted and executed for her murder. When her neighbors steal a stash of money, she calls her wealthy former boyfriend, Desi Collings (Harris), against whom she filed a restraining order. She killed Desi for her to be able to return home and claims Desi kidnapped and raped her, clearing Nick of suspicion. Amy tells Nick the truth, saying that the man she watched pleading for her return was the man she wants him to become again. Nick intends to leave Amy and expose her lies. Amy reveals she is pregnant, having used sperm Nick stored at a fertility clinic. Nick reacts violently, but he feels responsible for the child. Despite Margo's objections, Nick reluctantly decides to stay with Amy and they announce on television that they are expecting a baby together.

At first, the story goes so so, my boyfriend slept.haha. but at the middle of the story it became intense and he told me that he is afraid of someone like Amy.haha.

Rosamund Pike gave justice to the character. Actually, I also got scared. While Ben Afleck seems like a weakling and will suggest other actor for the role.

Overall rating for the movie is 8/10 and will recommend it to other movie goers out there.
Still prefer the novel rather than the movie.. :)
